This policy explains how WNT Consulting Ltd (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through this website, wntconsultingltd.co.uk. We are the data controller for that information.

What we collect
When you send an enquiry through our contact form, we collect:
- your name, email address and, if you give them, your organisation and phone number;
- the service you are interested in, your project stage and the details of your project;
- the date and time you sent the form.
If you email or phone us directly, we receive the information you choose to give us.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the site is used. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites and does not collect personal information that identifies you. See our cookie policy.
How we use it and why
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss your project. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give when you send the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- To provide our services if you go on to instruct us. Our lawful basis is taking steps to enter into, or perform, a contract with you or your organisation.
- To protect the website from spam and abuse. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
We will never sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with service providers that help us run this website and handle email, who process it on our instructions:
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website, delivers form submissions to us by email, provides spam protection (Turnstile) and provides privacy-friendly analytics.
- Our email provider, which stores the enquiries we receive.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.
We may also disclose information if the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to two years after our last contact, unless they become part of a project, in which case we keep project records for as long as we need to for legal, insurance and professional reasons.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent;
- ask for your information in a portable format.

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Security
This website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to enquiries is limited to the people who need them.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
